paint tool sai?

ReplyDeleteBahaha, you are so right! I actually used MyPaint, but using Paint Tool Sai or Photoshop would have been a smarter idea since they both have better layer properties/ adjusting tools.
DeleteFrom messy sketch to clean image, I first did another sketch layer (a little more clean, using a brush instead of the pencil tool). Then I just blocked in colours with a solid brush at 100% opacity (first large to fill the space, then a small for details). I found in making the image clean, using a small brush to smooth rough brush strokes and a small eraser (to clean lines) makes a huge difference. Very tedious, but if you use Paint Tool Sai, it should probably be much easier than MyPaint. OTL
tl;dr - for a clean image, use a small brush and eraser to get rid of messy brush strokes. Constantly zooming in and out to check helps too.
