TGITW (Thank Goodness It's The Weekend)...not
by Jennifer
Wow, I've realized how much I've been neglecting my sketchbook these days. I miss the high school days where marks were given for drawings haha. Well, hopefully I can do some visual arts courses next semester. Enough nostalgia, back to reality. The work's been accumulating, whoop dee doo! Thankfully... I have to the weekend to recover. Joking, the weekend is where I plant myself at my desk and catch up. Like that lab report that's due soon. Hope everyone's doing well! :)
Pretty! I love the complexity of the lines. What did you use to ink them? Fine-liners? Btw, how much did you get your sketch book for? The guy that's leading my drawing club says that I should get one... so that's what i'm gonna do tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteThanks my dear! :)
DeleteI used fineliners, Staedler 0.8 and 0.2 specifically, and a pigma liner (1.0 I think). I got my sketchbook for about $15, very nice paper. Yes yes, a sketchbook is always a good idea, but be the smart buyer and invest in one with a sturdy (non-paper) cover. :D
Ooooh I like Staedler. :) From far away, you don't notice the detail on the black lines, but on the close up, it seems that it's not as neat.. some parts were even messy. Was that intentional? Haha, paper covers rip easily?
ReplyDeleteHaha, my penmanship is poor if I do long strokes, I'm going over them to even out the lines! Yes, they do. My sketchbook is a prime example. It's almost full though, so I should be able to get a new one soon. :)
DeleteThese are lovely lines you have-- I love the varying widths. :D I need to work in my sketchbook more, but my studio art classes (though basic ones...) are taking up so much time in my life right now!
ReplyDeleteThanks Ali! :)
DeleteI totally understand the I have no life outside of school thing. ;n;
I like this! I also need to stop neglecting my sketchbook! I used to sketch so much.
